I'm still trying to figure what people in this thread don't get.

There was no "crying over a game" there was crying because someone who was presumably trusted and considered a friend behaved like an ass.

Voice chat is much more personal than text. I doubt the situation wouldn't have been quite so similar if they hadn't been on vent.

GW is a game, as may of you have pointed out. We are there to have fun. But what happens when people you know and trust make that game not fun? When they get personal? Is it all the different to a friend in RL doing the same thing? No. (Remember the key here is know and trust, of course people aren't likely to get upset over some random ranting!)

Some people get upset and cry, some people get upset and get even. At the core of things they are still the same basic emotion even if people physically react in a different way.

You know what, it's just a game. He shouldn't have been getting frustrated for any reason either, winning, loosing, dying, whatever.

i came close to crying today when i pugged duncan with 3 other people and 4 heroes, no real monks. took us 2 hours and some minutes to do. i wanted to kill myself. and all i got out of it was a diamond.

If it comes to that... kick the crazy guy from the guild for some time to let him cool off to see his own mistakes and persuade your other friend back. I mean, no point losing any friends if you can keep it together somehow. PvP is just well... I get angry too mostly in AB when people mob instead of capping but then I just have a break. It's only a game afterall.

Never cried over the game lol but in your case it's mostly human relations and not so much because of the game really and I'm not surprised someone would get emotional when someone else directed all their hatred at them, that's nasty. They'll both cool off given time.

i've cried once from laughing so hard at my good friend on vent because he tried doing vents Text to speach spams in order to lag everyone out, and instead got kicked for spamming them. Its fun to goad him into that.

Also had a good friend cry when her fiance broke up with her. It was while she was on guildwars he ended the relationship.
BTW i knew both people in the party quite well.
but never cried over the game no matter how funny it got.
